Throughout his career, Pedersen's other significant roles include Detective Senior Constable Michael Reilly in Water Rats, and a central role in The Secret Life of Us. He has had consistent roles in several TV series including The Circuit, City Homicide, Jack Irish series, and Australia Remastered. In the latter stages of his career, Pedersen will appear in High Country.
In addition to acting, Pedersen is a passionate speaker, addressing schools and prisons, drawing attention to the high rates of Indigenous Australians' incarceration. He has hosted several events, including the Melbourne Indigenous Arts Festival and Black Nite Film Festival.
