Adam Brody

Adam Jared Brody, born on December 15, 1979, is an American actor known for an array of successful performances in both film and television. Brody sparked to fame through his breakout role as Seth Cohen in the Fox television series The O.C. which aired from 2003 to 2007. His role in The O.C. established him as a teen idol and paved the way for his growing popularity. Apart from his television appearances, Brody also made a mark in the film industry featuring in films like Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005), Thank You for Smoking (2005), In the Land of Women (2007), and Jennifer's Body (2009). Throughout the 2010s, Brody played supporting roles in comedies including Seeking a Friend for the End of the World (2012) and Sleeping with Other People (2015), and dramatic films such as Lovelace (2013). He also took part in producing the television series StartUp (2016–2018). In addition to his acting career, Brody made major contributions to the superhero genre by appearing in the DC superhero film Shazam! (2019) and its sequel Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023). Besides, he starred in the thriller films Ready or Not (2019) and Promising Young Woman (2020), suspense-filled mystery film The Kid Detective (2020), the Hulu miniseries Fleishman Is in Trouble (2022), and the Netflix romantic comedy series Nobody Wants This (2024). Apart from his thriving acting career, Brody is also credited as a musician and writer. He formed a Los Angeles–based rock band called Big Japan in 2005, along with Nathaniel Castro, Bret Harrison, and Brad Babinski, with Brody venturing as the drummer.
