Alan Ritchson

**Alan Michael Ritchson** (born November 28, 1982) is a versatile American actor recognized for his work in both television and film. He made his acting debut by portraying Aquaman / Arthur Curry on the CW superhero series Smallville from 2005 to 2010, then transitioned to comedy in the Spike TV sitcom Blue Mountain State, a role he reprised in the 2016 film sequel. He also achieved acclaim starring in the SyFy action series Blood Drive in 2017 and the DC Universe/HBO Max series Titans from 2018 to 2021. His performance in the title role of the Amazon Prime Video's action thriller series Reacher, which premiered in 2022, earned him wider recognition. Besides his prominent presence on television, Ritchson has showcased his acting chops in films. Notably, he played Raphael in the 2014 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot and its 2016 sequel. He added The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013) and Fast X (2023) to his portfolio, and made his directorial debut with the action-comedy Dark Web: Cicada 3301 in 2021. Ritchson was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, and embarked on his career after attending Okaloosa Walton Community College. Over the years, he transitioned from modeling to television acting, gaining celebrity status in 2004 when he appeared on the third season of American Idol. In 2020, it was announced Alan would portray Jack Reacher in an eponymous series on Amazon Prime, further solidifying his reputation in the industry.
