Alex Mallari Jr.

Alex Mallari Jr. is a Canadian actor of Filipino ancestry born on 19 February 1988. He is best known for his roles in the television series Dark Matter (2015–2017), the feature films like The Adam Project, and the Netflix series Ginny & Georgia (2021–present). Born in the Philippines, he was raised in the Scarborough suburb of Toronto, Canada. As a child, Mallari was a national level competitor in Taekwondo, and was a two-time Junior Canadian National Taekwondo champion, boasting of a third-degree black belt. Yet, he stopped at the age of 13 and switched his focus to basketball with professional aspirations, but an unfortunate injury dashed his hopes.

He began attending the University of Toronto, where he developed an interest in acting. His first noteworthy role was as 'Four' in the Syfy television series Dark Matter, based on the comic book series of the same name, which he starred in from 2015 to 2017 for three seasons. Since then, he has played various roles in multiple films and television series, including but not limited to The Adam Project and Ginny & Georgia.
