Alexandru Dabija, born on February 13, 1955, is a prominent stage director and actor within the Romanian theater and film industries. Born in Piatra Neamț, he pursued his passion for theatre and arts by earning his graduation from the renowned I.L. Caragiale Institute of Theatre and Film Arts situated in Bucharest. Dabija started his illustrious career with an impactful debut in 1976 with Philip Massinger's Reflection at the Youth Theater in Piatra Neamț, which won him the Best Director of the Year award. Over the years, he directed various acclaimed theatre plays, some of the notable ones being Avram Iancu, Taifunul, Burghezul gentilom, Ospățul lui Balthazar, among many others. Dabija held the esteemed position of the general manager of the Odeon Theatre in Bucharest from 1991 to 1994 and later from 1996 to 2002.
