Amber Tamblyn

**Amber Rose Tamblyn**, an American actress and author, first rose to national prominence due to her role in the soap opera General Hospital where she played Emily Quartermaine at the age of 11. She then featured in a starring role on the prime-time series Joan of Arcadia, a performance that garnered her Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. Tamblyn has appeared in the critically acclaimed films such as Stephanie Daley, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and 127 Hours. In 2016, she ventured into directing with the film Paint It Black. In addition to her acting career, Tamblyn is an accomplished author with seven published books across various genres. She contributes to The New York Times and other publications on issues like gender inequality and women's suffrage. Tamblyn is the daughter of actor Russ Tamblyn and has a varied artistic background. She attended the Santa Monica Alternative School House and got her first taste of acting in a school play at the age of 10. She previously played Emily Bowen on the soap opera General Hospital and has guest-starred on various television shows including The Twilight Zone and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She has also been recognised for her writing and has published several books of poetry.
