Anders Baasmo Christiansen, a celebrated Norwegian actor, was born on 29th January 1976 in Hamar, Norway. He embarked on his journey to stardom after graduating from the Norwegian Acting Academy in 2000. His career took off at the Trøndelag Teater in Trondheim, Norway, before he transitioned to the Det Norske Teatret in Oslo. Achieving his breakthrough in 2003, Baasmo was awarded the Amanda award for his exceptional performance in the Norwegian film, Buddy.
His acting prowess won him the TV award Gullruten in 2007 for embodying Henrik Ibsen in the NRK TV-series An Immortal Man (En udødelig mann). In 2008, Baasmo starred in the Swedish film Arn – The Kingdom at Road's End and won the Heddaprisen, Norway's most prestigious acting award, for his depiction of Hamlet. He is well-known for being the first actor to possess an Amanda, a Gullruten, and a Hedda award simultaneously. His contributions to the cinema did not stop here. He clinched the Shooting Stars Award at the Berlin International Film Festival 2010. In the Norwegian dub of the Disney animated film Frozen, he lent his voice to the character Hans. Furthermore, he portrayed Herman Watzinger in the 2012 adaptation of Thor Heyerdahl's Kon-Tiki and was a part of the sitcom Dag between 2010 and 2015.
