Anna Mouglalis (Greek: Άννα Μουγλάλη; born 26 April 1978) is a French actress and model, widely recognized for her work as a house ambassador for Chanel since 2002. She is well-known for portraying the iconic fashion designer Coco Chanel in the 2009 film Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky, as well as actress Paula Maxa in the 2018 film The Most Assassinated Woman in the World. Born in Fréjus, Var to a French mother and a Greek father, Mouglalis spent her youth in the Var département before relocating to Nantes with her family. Until 2001, she dedicated her time to study at the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique de Paris (CNSAD) under the guidance of Daniel Mesguich. Not only does she speak her native French, but she is also fluent in English, Italian, and Spanish, and has a basic understanding of Greek. Mouglalis embarked on her acting career in La Nuit du Titanic, performed in Paris. From there, she has built a well-rounded career featuring versatile roles such as her performance in La Maladie de la mort, a first-time film by director Asa Mader, which previewed at the Venice Film Festival, and as Simone de Beauvoir in a TV movie called Les Amants du Flore. Along with acting, Reaching beyond her acting career, Mouglalis has achieved success in modeling industry and was even chosen by Karl Lagerfeld for the 'Allure de Chanel' perfume advertisement campaign. Besides bags and fine jewelry, she has also promoted Chanel's line of watches.
