Arsenio Hall (born February 12, 1956) is an American comedian, actor and talk show host, renowned for hosting 'The Arsenio Hall Show' from 1989 until 1994, and again from 2013 to 2014. He made a significant impact in the entertainment industry with appearances in shows and films including 'Martial Law', 'Coming to America' (1988), 'Coming 2 America' (2021), and 'Harlem Nights' (1989). In 1987 he set up Arsenio Hall Communications and signed a two-year multi-picture agreement with Paramount Pictures for exclusive film development. He was the host of various shows like 'Star Search', appeared as Alan Thicke's sidekick on 'Thicke of the Night', and won NBC's reality-competition game show 'Celebrity Apprentice 5' in 2012. Hall started his career in comedy in Chicago, later moving to Los Angeles. His accolades include the 1988 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for 'Coming to America' and 1989 American Comedy Award for Funniest Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for the same film. In personal life, Hall is the father of one and was in a relationship with Cheryl Bonacci from 1987 to 2002.
