Bulle Ogier, born Marie-France Thielland on 9 August 1939, is a celebrated French actress and screenwriter. She took her professional last name, Ogier, from her mother's maiden side. Ogier stepped into the cinematic world through her debut film 'Voilà l'Ordre', directed by Jacques Baratier. Through her career, she has had the opportunity to work with some of the most renowned directors, including Jacques Rivette, Luis Buñuel, Alain Tanner, René Allio, Claude Lelouch, Jean-Paul Civeyrac, and others. She won recognition in 1972 when she was awarded the Prix Suzanne Bianchetti. Her memorable films, which showcased her acting prowess, include 'L'Amour fou' (1969), 'Paulina s'en va' (1969), 'Les Stances à Sophie' (1970), 'Out 1: Noli me tangere' (1971), 'Le charme discret de la bourgeoisie' (1972) and a long list of other highly acclaimed productions. Besides her acting career, Ogier's personal life saw her in a relationship with the musician Gilles Nicolas with whom she had a daughter named Pascale. Pascale also adopted her mother's professional surname 'Ogier' and pursued a career in acting.
