Christian Stuart McKay, born on 30 December 1973, is a renowned English stage and screen actor. He is particularly celebrated for his portrayal of Orson Welles in the 2008 film Me and Orson Welles, for which he received nominations for over two dozen awards, including the prestigious BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actor. Other significant appearances include films such as Florence Foster Jenkins, The Theory of Everything, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, and Rush. Born and raised in Bury, Lancashire, McKay studied piano as a youth and even performed the Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 3 at age 21 before he decided to halt his concert career and study acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
