Christina Milian (MIL-ee-AHN; née Flores, born September 26, 1981) is a Cuban American singer, songwriter, and actress. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey and raised in Maryland, she signed a contract with Def Soul at the age of 19. Milian made her recording debut on American rapper Ja Rule's 2000 single, "Between Me and You", which peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her self-titled debut studio album (2002) moderately entered international charts. She had lead roles in 'Love Don't Cost a Thing' (2003), 'Be Cool', and the 2006 horror film Pulse. From 2015 to 2016, she starred in the sitcom Grandfathered.

Milian is also an entrepreneur, co-founding Beignet Box, a dessert shop in Los Angeles area. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, she moved with her family to Waldorf, Maryland soon after her birth. Milian changed her last name to land a wider range of acting roles. The oldest of three sisters, she showed an interest in show business at a young age and began auditioning with local talent agencies. At 13, Milian moved to Los Angeles with her mother and three daughters to pursue an entertainment career. She began her acting career with a host role on Disney Channel's series Movie Surfers. After her time in Los Angeles, she started meeting people in the record business and began writing songs at the age of 17, leading her to obtain a recording contract.
