Christophe Guy Denis Lambert, popularly known as Christopher Lambert, is a French-American actor, producer, and novelist renowned globally for his versatility and distinctive performances. He started his career in the late 1970s, playing supporting roles in several French films. Lambert rose to international prominence for his potrayal of Tarzan in the 1984 film Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes. His exemplary performance in the 1985 film Subway earned him the César Award for Best Actor. Other significant roles include Connor MacLeod in the adventure-fantasy film Highlander and its franchise, Raiden in Mortal Kombat (1995), Methodius in Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011), and Arne Seslum in Hail, Caesar! (2016).

Lambert was born in Great Neck, New York in 1957 to French parents. Raised in Geneva due to his father's diplomatic service at the United Nations, Lambert moved to Paris in his teenage years. As a novelist, he has penned two books and as an entrepreneur, he co-owns a mineral water plant and food processing business and produces Côtes du Rhône wines at a vineyard in Sainte-Cécile-les-Vignes. Despite his profound myopia, Lambert showcases excellent acting skills even while performing stunts that have sometimes resulted in injuries.
