Conan O'Brien

Conan Christopher O'Brien (born April 18, 1963) is an American television host, comedian, writer, and producer. He is best known for hosting late-night talk shows and has a career that spans over three decades. Born in Brookline, Massachusetts, O'Brien was raised in an Irish Catholic family. He graduated from Harvard University, where he served as the president of The Harvard Lampoon. He kickstarted his career as a writer for the sketch comedy series Not Necessarily the News and moved onwards to Saturday Night Live. O'Brien gained public attention when he took over David Letterman's role as the host of Late Night in 1993. Despite early struggles and unfavorable reviews, the show developed into a commercial and critical success. O'Brien hosted Late Night for 16 years before moving on to host The Tonight Show from 2009 to 2010. He then hosted the show, Conan, on TBS from 2010 to 2021.

Throughout his career, O'Brien has been known for his comedic approach that combines self-deprecating humor with more narrative-driven sketches. He has hosted numerous awards shows and television specials, and took a special interest in producing international travel series. Since 2018, O'Brien has also hosted the podcast series Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend.
