Damian Chapa

**Damian Robert Chapa** (born October 29, 1963) is a renowned American actor, film director, screenwriter, and producer boasting a wealth of experience in the entertainment industry. He has been active since 1989, having dominated both the small and big screens with his artistic prowess. Of Mexican, Italian, German, and Native American descent, Chapa’s rich ancestry undeniably contributes to the depth of his roles. Currently, he takes residence in San Antonio, Texas. A prominent figure in his acting career, Chapa is best known for his roles in a variety of films. He played the part of evangelist Leroy Jenkins in the 2002 film _The Calling_. Arguably, his most memorable film role was that of Miklo Velka in Taylor Hackford's _Blood In Blood Out_. His fame elevated after he landed a role in Raúl Juliá's final film _Street Fighter_, based on the popular video game _Street Fighter II: The World Warrior_. In 2011, Chapa faced a major controversy when he was arrested in Madrid and transferred to a Munich jail, awaiting a court appearance on an alleged rape charge of his former girlfriend Roxanna Foell. The case concluded after his subsequent release seven weeks later and the disposal of his filed $1.3 million lawsuit for damages against Foell by judge Malcolm Mackey.
