Damon Wayans Jr.

**Damon Kyle Wayans Jr.** (born November 18, 1982) is an American actor and comedian notably recognized for his roles in the ABC sitcom Happy Endings and the Fox sitcom New Girl. He played the character of Brad Williams in Happy Endings and his phenomenal performance earned him a nomination for the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 2012. On Fox's sitcom, New Girl, he took the role of Coach. He also starred in the comedy film Let's Be Cops in 2014 and voiced the character Wasabi in Disney's animated film, Big Hero 6. Born in Huntington, Vermont, Wayans is the eldest son of renowned actor and comedian Damon Wayans. He belongs to the Wayans family, contributing to the legacy of his uncles - Keenen Ivory Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Kim Wayans, and Marlon Wayans. Wayans began his acting career in 1994, featuring in his father's movie, Blankman. Following his debut, he made several appearances in films and TV shows and is also credited as a staff writer for his father's sitcom, My Wife and Kids. His career took a progressive turn after he received a standing ovation for his debut appearance on Def Comedy Jam. Apart from acting, he depicted his vibrant skillset in *Dance Flick* where he was not just an actor but also the main character. After the cancellation of Happy Endings, Wayans joined the cast of New Girl for its third season and eventually, he became a regular from the fourth season onwards. Wayans' most recent work includes his role in the sitcom Happy Together, which, however, was cancelled after 13 episodes.
