Daniel Jacob Radcliffe (born 23 July 1989) is an English actor, who shot to fame at a young age when he was cast as Harry Potter in the beloved fantasy film series. Radcliffe portrayed Potter in all eight films of the franchise, bookended by 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' (2001) and 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2' (2011). As his career expanded, Radcliffe branched out to stage acting, starring in West End and Broadway productions, even earning a Tony Award for his work in Stephen Sondheim's musical 'Merrily We Roll Along'. He notably played multiple roles in the anthology comedy television series 'Miracle Workers' from 2019 to 2023. Outside acting, Radcliffe has been involved in numerous philanthropic activities and supports several charities. Varying his film roles, Radcliffe acted in a wide range of genres, notably in the horror film 'The Woman in Black' (2012), the surreal drama 'Swiss Army Man' (2016), and the thrilling 'Now You See Me 2' (2016). He portrayed Allen Ginsberg in the biopic 'Kill Your Darlings' (2013), starred as 'Weird Al' Yankovic in the musical parody 'Weird: The Al Yankovic Story' (2022), and will appear alongside Jessica Biel and Ethan Hawke in the upcoming film 'Batso', directed by American film director Kyle Marvin. Despite his diverse body of work, Radcliffe acknowledges that he will forever be associated with the Harry Potter character, a role he is proud of.
