David Costabile (/ˈkɒstəbəl/; born January 9, 1967) is an American actor known for his compelling performances in a variety of television series and films. He has made his mark in popular TV series such as Billions, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Damages, Flight of the Conchords, Suits, and The Wire. Beyond the small screen, Costabile has also shown his versatility in film projects like The Dirt and in Broadway theatre. Costabile was born in Washington, D.C., of Italian descent, where his passion for performing arts was nurtured during his time at Gonzaga College High School's musical theatre program. He furthered his education at Tufts University and received an MFA from New York University. His stage appearances include roles in Broadway productions like 2007's Translations, 1997's Titanic, and 1995's The Tempest. Costabile's adeptness at immersing himself into his roles has made him a fan favorite and a noted performer in the industry. In film, he has worked with big names like Jennifer Aniston in the 2010 film The Bounty Hunter and was a part of Steven Soderbergh's Side Effects and Runner Runner. He was featured in the film Lincoln as Republican representative James Ashley and true event-focused 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi as the Chief. Personal life saw love in 2012 when he married Eliza Baldi, and they have two children together.
