Deanna Wallace (née Bowers), also known as Dee Wallace Stone, is a critically acclaimed American actress. Born on December 14, 1948, she is possibly most recognized for her role as Mary Taylor in the 1982 blockbuster science fiction film E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. Her cinematic journey began with appearances in several notable television shows, including The Streets of San Francisco, Starsky & Hutch, and Police Woman. Later, she transitioned to the big screen, thrilling audiences in horror classics such as The Hills Have Eyes (1977) and The Howling (1981), in which she starred opposite her husband Christopher Stone. Additionally, she reprised her horrifying role in Cujo (1983), which was based on a novel by Stephen King.

In her expansive career, Wallace proved her versatile acting skills, scoring a Saturn Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her part in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. She then navigated towards comedy, starring in a series of laugh-inducing films including 10 (1979), Jimmy the Kid (1982), and Secret Admirer (1985).
