**Dennis Andres** (born 23 June 1987) is a critically acclaimed German-Canadian actor and stuntman who has made significant strides in film and television. He is most famously known for his portrayal of Ian Matthews, one of the lead roles, on the CBC and Netflix's popular show, Workin' Moms. Andres was born and raised in Berlin, Germany, and later immigrated with his family to Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. In his younger years, he demonstrated a remarkable aptitude for martial arts, earning a black belt in Wado Kai Karate and Kickboxing, and even achieving 6th place in The WKF (World Karate Federation) Nationals at just 18 years old. His early years were also marked by his passion for football, where he served as the captain of his team at Cathedral High School. However, injuries led him to withdraw from the sport and he was further introduced to the world of acting and stunts by a co-op counselor. He began his acting career with an apprenticeship at the Players Guild of Hamilton community theatre, starting backstage before progressing to acting roles, his first being Jacob in the play Salt Water Moon. **Andres'** career took a significant turn when he landed his first leading film role in the 2015 film Lady Psycho Killer. Over time, he managed to secure various roles in multiple TV shows including The Strain, The Good Witch, Star Trek: Discovery, and Diggstown. In 2018, he was cast as Justin Hayes in the pilot episode of The Greatest American Hero.**Andres'** skills and talents were further recognized as he was cast alongside Sofia Carson and Enrico Colantoni in the Netflix Original, Feel the Beat, in June 2020. Notably, in 2020, he played lead roles in TV movies Blueprint to the Heart and Hint of Love. In 2021, he took part in Colors of Love, playing Craig Harris. Scheduled for 2023 are his roles in the film Fitting In, and television movie The Wedding Rule.
