Dennis Dirk Blocker, popularly known as Dirk Blocker, is an illustrious American actor best known for his roles in 'Baa Baa Black Sheep' (1976–1978), and 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' (2013–2021). He was born on July 31, 1957, in Los Angeles, California. He is the son of acclaimed actor Dan Blocker and Dolphia Lee Blocker. His first regular TV role was as pilot Jerry Bragg on 'Baa Baa Black Sheep'. Later in his career, he starred as Detective Michael Hitchcock on the Fox/NBC comedy series 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine'. His brother, David Blocker, is a prominent producer. Blocker debuted on screen with his father in a 1964 car commercial. He commenced his career on American television in 1974, performing in an episode of Marcus Welby, M.D. when he was just 16. Over time, he featured in a variety of shows like 'ER', 'Little House on the Prairie', 'The X-Files', 'Beverly Hills, 90210', 'Walker, Texas Ranger', 'Night Court', 'Murder, She Wrote', 'MASH', 'Doogie Howser, M.D.',* and 'Matlock'. Aside from his steady performances on television, he also has a significant list of film credits that include 'Midnight Madness' (1980), 'Raise the Titanic' (1980), 'The Border (1982), 'Poltergeist' (1982), 'Starman' (1984), 'Trouble in Mind' (1985), and many more. He also returned to education to earn his bachelor of arts degree and even wrote a book in 2017 titled 'Master and the Little Monk'. His extraordinary career has made him a celebrated figure in the industry.
