Dominic Monaghan

**Dominic Bernard Patrick Luke Monaghan**, a British-Irish actor is best known for his roles as Meriadoc 'Merry' Brandybuck in Peter Jackson's film trilogy _The Lord of the Rings_ (2001–2003), and Charlie Pace on the ABC television drama _Lost_ (2004–2010). Born on 8th December 1976 in West Berlin, West Germany, Monaghan started his acting career in 1994, landing his initial roles in TV dramas such as _Hetty Wainthropp Investigates_. His big break arrived with Peter Jackson's _The Lord of the Rings_ trilogy which propelled him to global fame and acclaim. Further recognition came with his role in ABC's hit show _Lost_ where he played a former rockstar and drug addict. He also starred in films like _X-Men Origins: Wolverine_ and _Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker_, reuniting with J.J. Abrams, the co-creator of _Lost_. His love for nature also led him to host the nature programme _Wild Things with Dominic Monaghan_ from 2012 to 2016.
