**Dree Louise Crisman Hemingway** is an established American fashion model and actress. She garnered attention for her portrayal as the lead in American director Sean Baker's feature film '**Starlet**' released in 2012. Over time, she has distinguished herself through her high-profile fashion campaigns and significant contributions to independent cinema. Hemingway was born on December 4, 1987, in Sun Valley, Idaho, to an illustrious family of artists. She is the daughter of renowned actress Mariel Hemingway and Stephen Crisman, and the niece of late model and actress Margaux Hemingway. Dree's lineage traces back to the legendary author Ernest Hemingway, who is her great-grandfather on her mother's side. Dree grew up in Ketchum, Idaho and attended Ernest Hemingway Elementary School. Later, she moved to California, lived in Westlake Village, and attended Oaks Christian High School. She left school midway to focus on her modelling career. Hemingway established her presence in the fashion industry in 2009, debuting at the fall/winter 09-10 catwalk show for Givenchy in Paris. She later walked for designers like Calvin Klein, Topshop, and damaged campaigns for international brands like Gucci, Jean Paul Gaultier, Valentino, H&M, Chanel, and Paco Rabanne. In January 2014, she played a significant role in promoting the crochet bikini brand 'kiini' on Instagram. Hemingway was also featured as the Playboy Playmate in the March 2016 issue of Playboy, marking her as a second-generation Playboy model. Following in her family's theatrical footsteps, Hemingway launched her acting career primarily in independent films. Her first lead role was in '**Starlet**,' which won her and the ensemble cast the Robert Altman Award at the 2012 Independent Spirit Awards. She appeared in supporting roles in films like '**Listen Up Philip**' and '**While We're Young**', and leading roles in '**The People Garden**' and '**Live Cargo**'.
