Of Filipino descent, Bauza hails from Scarborough, a suburb of Toronto, where his love for classic cartoons was nurtured by his father and grandfather. This creative foundation was further enhanced by watching Mr. Dressup as a child, inspiring a career that would captivate many. He attended Cardinal Newman Catholic High School from 1993 to 1996, subsequently graduating from Centennial College in 2000.

Bauza began his journey in the world of animation as an intern at Spümcø during his third year of college, eventually transitioning into a production assistant role on shows like Weekend Pussy Hunt and The Ripping Friends, marking his entry into voice acting.
