Eric Keenleyside

Eric Keenleyside is a renowned Canadian actor who was born on October 11, 1957, in St. Stephen, New Brunswick. He had an interesting upbringing, growing up in London, Ontario, and spending some periods in Brisbane, Australia. Keenleyside pursued his tertiary education in acting from the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1980. He further honed his craft by apprenticing at the prestigious Stratford Shakespeare Festival. Over the course of his career, he has lived and worked in various prominent cities, including Toronto, Los Angeles, and Vancouver. Beginning his acting career in 1985, Keenleyside found himself consistently active. The early and mid-1990s saw him appearing in various series such as Street Justice, Hawkeye, Madison, Highlander: The Series, and Titanic. In 1999, he delved into comedy, starring in Guy Ferland's film Delivered. Keenleyside's career also crossed paths with mainstream American television when he appeared in an episode of The King of Queens in 2000. He starred in the TV film Murder on Pleasant Drive in 2006. He continued his television journey in 2007 by playing Robert Doherty in the ABC series Traveler and later in 2010, playing Bob Overton in the series Hellcats. His role of Maurice, father of Belle, in the popular ABC show Once Upon a Time, adds to his interesting range of characters.
