Eva Gaëlle Green is a highly acclaimed French actress, born on 6 July 1980, she burst into the acting scene in 2001 and has remained active since then. The daughter of accomplished actress Marlène Jobert, she debuted her career in theatre before transitioning into film with Bernardo Bertolucci's 'The Dreamers' in 2003. She gained worldwide fame for her portrayal of Sibylla, Queen of Jerusalem in Ridley Scott's historical epic 'Kingdom of Heaven' in 2005. The following year, she gained further recognition when she played the Bond girl Vesper Lynd in 'Casino Royale' which earned her the BAFTA Rising Star Award.

Her career continued with numerous independent films, including 'Cracks' (2009), 'Womb' (2010), and 'Perfect Sense' (2011). Green has also worked closely with director Tim Burton in 'Dark Shadows' (2012), 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children' (2016), and 'Dumbo' (2019). Her performance as an astronaut mother in 'Proxima' (2019) garnered a nomination for the César Award for Best Actress. She has also achieved success in television, notably her critically acclaimed role as Vanessa Ives in the horror drama series 'Penny Dreadful'.
