François Cluzet

**François Cluzet**, born 21 September 1955, is a notable French film and theatre actor who has worked with many important European and American directors, such as Claude Chabrol, Bertrand Tavernier, Claire Denis, Agnieszka Holland, Robert Altman, and Olivier Assayas. He has had a distinguished career since his stage debut in 1976, and from then on, Cluzet has appeared in a slew of significant films, starting with _Cocktail Molotov_ in 1979 and in _Cheval d'orgueil_ by Chabrol. As his career progressed, he collaborated with several well-known French directors producing dramatic works throughout the late 1980s and 1990s. From 1994, Cluzet ventured into International cinema featuring in the ensemble movie _Prêt-à-Porter_ and the romance _French Kiss_. While 2006 marked a significant year for him with the role in _Quatre étoiles_ and the 2007 César for best actor for _Tell No One_, his most renowned role internationally is probably his portrayal of a rich quadriplegic in the 2011 film _Intouchables_, which has been the highest-grossing non-English language film released at its time. Cluzet was born and raised in Paris, France. He has excelled in various roles throughout his career, often portraying the role of the tormented writer and capturing audiences' attention with his aptitude for embodying a range of characters. Also, he has received numerous nominations and awards for his performances throughout the years. Cluzet's personal life includes a son, Paul (son of the late actress Marie Trintignant), as well as three other children: Blanche, Joseph, and Marguerite.
