G.D. Spradlin

**Gervase Duan Spradlin**, known professionally as **G. D. Spradlin**, had a profound, multi-faceted career as an American actor, attorney, and businessman. Born on August 31, 1920, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, Spradlin's distinctive voice and accent became his trademark, often casting him in roles portraying authority figures or high-ranking military officers. Credited in over 70 television and film productions, he demonstrated exceptional acting skills alongside actors such as Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, and Johnny Depp. Notably, he performed as Senator Pat Geary in *The Godfather Part II*. Before his acting career, Spradlin was a part of several professions. He obtained his bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Oklahoma, and later served in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II. After military service, he completed a law degree and started his career as an attorney in Venezuela. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to become an independent oil producer, founding Rouge Oil Company. He was also politically active, campaigning for John F. Kennedy.
