Glenne Headly

**Glenne Aimee Headly**, born on March 13, 1955, was a highly acclaimed American actress recognized for her outstanding roles in 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels,' 'Dick Tracy,' and 'Mr. Holland's Opus.' Her career spanned from 1972 to 2017, during which time she received a Theatre World Award, four Joseph Jefferson Awards, and two Primetime Emmy Award nominations. In 2017, she appeared in 'The Circle' and 'Just Getting Started,' the latter marking her final film role, posthumously released six months after her death. Headly worked with renowned actors such as Ed Begley Jr. and Josh Hutcherson in 'Future Man,' Hulu's half-hour comedy television series, until she tragically passed away on June 8, 2017. Aside from her significant projects, Headly was born in New London, Connecticut, and spent her early years in San Francisco under her mother's care. She obtained a Bachelor's degree from the American College of Switzerland and then moved to New York while starting her theatre career in Chicago's St. Nicholas Theatre. She was a Steppenwolf Theatre ensemble member and a recipient of several Chicago stage accolades. Her renowned roles were Tess Trueheart in 'Dick Tracy,' Elmira Boot Johnson in 'Lonesome Dove,' and film appearances in 'Mortal Thoughts' and 'Getting Even with Dad.' In 2017, she starred opposite Morgan Freeman in 'Just Getting Started.' Unfortunately, she died mid-series of 'Future Man,' which resulted in her character not being recast and the series' episodes being reworked.
