Halle Lynn Bailey, best known as Halle, is an acclaimed American singer and actress born on March 27, 2000. She first shot to fame as half of the musical duo Chloe x Halle with her older sister Chloe Bailey. The duo released the albums 'The Kids Are Alright' (2018) and 'Ungodly Hour' (2020), earning five Grammy Award nominations. Bailey ventured into a solo career in 2023 with her debut single 'Angel', which bagged a nomination for the Grammy Award for Best R&B Song. Apart from her musical career, she made a name for herself in acting, prominently starring in the TV sitcom 'Grown-ish' (2018–2022). In 2023, she played her first lead role as Ariel in Disney's 'The Little Mermaid' and had a supporting role in the musical film 'The Color Purple'. Bailey was born and raised in Mableton, Georgia, alongside her siblings Chloe Bailey and Ski Bailey. First encouraged to explore music by their father and co-manager, Doug Bailey, both girls started their musical journey at a young age. Bailey made her acting debut at the age of 3 and played minor roles in movies such as Joyful Noise and the TV film Let It Shine.
