Halle Bailey

**Halle Lynn Bailey**, best known as **Halle**, is an acclaimed American singer and actress born on March 27, 2000. She first shot to fame as half of the musical duo Chloe x Halle with her older sister Chloe Bailey. The duo released the albums '**The Kids Are Alright**' (2018) and '**Ungodly Hour**' (2020), earning five Grammy Award nominations. Bailey ventured into a solo career in 2023 with her debut single '**Angel**', which bagged a nomination for the Grammy Award for Best R&B Song. Apart from her musical career, she made a name for herself in acting, prominently starring in the TV sitcom '**Grown-ish**' (2018–2022). In 2023, she played her first lead role as Ariel in Disney's '**The Little Mermaid**' and had a supporting role in the musical film '**The Color Purple**'. Bailey was born and raised in Mableton, Georgia, alongside her siblings Chloe Bailey and Ski Bailey. First encouraged to explore music by their father and co-manager, Doug Bailey, both girls started their musical journey at a young age. Bailey made her acting debut at the age of 3 and played minor roles in movies such as Joyful Noise and the TV film Let It Shine.
