Jacek Koman

Jacek Koman (born 15 August 1956) is a Polish actor and singer notable for his diverse career and contributions to the entertainment industry. Born in Bielsko-Biała, Poland, Koman hails from a family with a theatrical background, being the son of actors Halina Koman and Adam Koman. In pursuit of his acting career, he studied at the National Film School in Łódź where he rubbed shoulders with the likes of Małgorzata Potocka, Andrzej Szczytko, and Piotr Skiba (1974–78).

Koman began his acting journey with his first professional stage appearance in a production of A Midsummer Night's Dream in Bielsko-Biała in 1978. His career boasts of numerous collaborations with his partner Catherine McClements, including films like Redheads and Floodhouse, theatre productions such as Angels in America (1994), The Blind Giant is Dancing (1995), Macbeth (2003) and Cruel and Tender (2005) to name just a few. Koman's performance in Spirited earned him an AACTA nomination in 2011. Besides his acting career, Koman is also the lead singer of VulgarGrad, a Melbourne based band who play Russian-style music formed in 2004.
