Jacek Koman

**Jacek Koman** (born 15 August 1956) is a *Polish actor and singer* notable for his diverse career and contributions to the entertainment industry. Born in *Bielsko-Biała, Poland*, Koman hails from a family with a theatrical background, being the son of actors Halina Koman and Adam Koman. In pursuit of his acting career, he studied at the *National Film School in Łódź* where he rubbed shoulders with the likes of Małgorzata Potocka, Andrzej Szczytko, and Piotr Skiba (1974–78). Koman began his acting journey with his first professional stage appearance in a production of *A Midsummer Night's Dream* in Bielsko-Biała in 1978. His career boasts of numerous collaborations with his partner *Catherine McClements*, including films like *Redheads and Floodhouse*, theatre productions such as *Angels in America* (1994), *The Blind Giant is Dancing* (1995), *Macbeth* (2003) and *Cruel and Tender* (2005) to name just a few. Koman's performance in *Spirited* earned him an AACTA nomination in 2011. Besides his acting career, Koman is also the lead singer of *VulgarGrad*, a Melbourne based band who play Russian-style music formed in 2004.
