Jack Black

Jack Black, born as Thomas Jacob Black on August 28, 1969, is an American actor, comedian, and musician. He initially appeared in supporting roles in films like Dead Man Walking (1995), The Cable Guy (1996), Mars Attacks! (1996), and Enemy of the State (1998). His breakout role came in the musical film High Fidelity (2000), which led him to major roles in Shallow Hal (2001), Orange County (2002), and his star-making performance in School of Rock (2003). Among his prominent roles are King Kong (2005), The Holiday (2006), Nacho Libre (2006), Tropic Thunder (2008), Bernie (2011), and Jumanji franchise films (2017–2019), and The House with a Clock in Its Walls (2018). He is also known for his voice work in animated films, especially as Po in the Kung Fu Panda franchise and Bowser in The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023).

Black is the lead vocalist of the band Tenacious D, that he formed with Kyle Gass in 1994. The duo bagged a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance with their song The Last in Line in 2015. Since 2018, Jack has been running a YouTube channel - Jablinski Games. Among other endeavors, in 2006, he founded his production company, Electric Dynamite Productions, Inc., producing several movies and TV series, including Ghost Ghirls and Branson. He has been bestowed with an Emmy Award, a Grammy Award, and three Golden Globe nominations. Despite facing struggles with cocaine use at 14, Jack has emerged as an influential figure in Hollywood, lending support to key social issues and using his fame for progress.
