Jake McDorman

**John Allen McDorman IV**, better known as **Jake McDorman**, is a recognized American actor who first stepped into the limelight in 2003, and has continued enhancing his passion and talent for the craft to date. McDorman is most renowned for his intriguing performance in the 2014 film, *American Sniper*, and for his starring roles on various television shows such as CBS's *Limitless* (2015–2016) and the compelling Disney+ historical drama, *The Right Stuff*, where he played Alan Shepard. Notably, he has successfully secured significant roles in other TV series like ABC Family's comedy-drama, *Greek* (2007–2011), Showtime's *Shameless* (2014), CBS sitcom *Murphy Brown* (2018), FX's horrifying yet captivating *What We Do in the Shadows* (2019), and in the forthcoming Peacock's sci-fi comedy-drama series *Mrs. Davis* (2023). Born in Dallas, Texas, Jake McDorman was the beloved son of Deborah Gale and John Allen McDorman III. Having a younger sister, Morgan, and an older half-sister, Amanda, McDorman's early life was a blend of familial bonds and the pursuit of his passion for acting, studying at the Dallas Young Actors Studio and Nancy Chartier's Film and Acting Studio. His career graph escalated further as he starred in *Aquamarine*, *Bring It On: All or Nothing*, *Live Free or Die Hard*, and played the lead in the Lifetime movie *The Craigslist Killer*. Noteworthy performances in NBC sitcom *Are You There, Chelsea?*, Showtime's *Shameless*, and Clint Eastwood's *American Sniper* increased his visibility and popularity in the entertainment industry. He then bagged the male lead in the ABC romantic comedy series, *Manhattan Love Story*, followed by a stellar performance in the TV series *Limitless* as Brian Finch, an intelligence-enhanced FBI solver.
