Jeanne Tripplehorn

**Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn** is a well-regarded, versatile American actress, born on June 10, 1963 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her career has spanned both stage and screen, with her debut in the entertainment industry marked by performances in numerous plays in the early 1990s. She became a prominent figure with the role of a police psychologist in the erotic thriller_ Basic Instinct_ (1992), which was followed by her appearance in various other films such as _The Firm_ (1993), _Waterworld_ (1995), and _Sliding Doors_ (1998). Tripplehorn also made her mark in television with key roles in the HBO drama series _Big Love_ (2006–2011) and the CBS police drama _Criminal Minds_ (2012–2014). She earned a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for her impressive portrayal of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in the HBO movie _Grey Gardens_ in 2009.
