Jella Haase

Jella Haase, born on October 26, 1992, is a renowned German actress. Internationally, she gained recognition for her leading role in the Netflix comedy-drama spy series Kleo. Along with her work in Kleo, she has noteworthy film credits, including Lollipop Monster, Fack ju Göhte and Combat Girls. In addition, Haase made her appearance in prominent television shows such as Polizeiruf 110 and Alpha 0.7 – Der Feind in dir which solidified her status in the industry. Her stellar acting led her to win the Bavarian Film Award for Best Young Actress in 2012, the Günter Strack Television Award in the following year, and she was a nominee at the German Film Awards in 2014. Born in Berlin-Kreuzberg, Haase initially began her career in drama theatre as a child actor. She later made her film debut in the short film Der letzte Rest at the age of 17, marking the start of a successful acting journey. Her breakout role came in the TV film, Mama kommt!, followed by other TV productions. In 2011, she delivered a compelling performance in Combat Girls, a David Wnendt's film about neo-Nazis. This role, along with a role in Lollipop Monster, fetched her the Bavarian Film Award for Best Young Actress in 2012. Moreover, she was celebrated for her subsequent roles where in 2013, she brilliantly played an underage prostitute in the film Puppenspieler, and a teenager Chantal Ackermann in the comedy film Fack ju Göhte. In 2024, fans eagerly await her return in the second season of Kleo.
