Jóhann Sigurðarson is a renowned Icelandic actor, voice actor and singer, best known for his role as 'Leifur' in 'Trapped' and 'The Minister'. Born on 21st April 1956, he ventured into the glam world after graduating from the Icelandic Drama School in 1981. With nearly four decades of acting career under his belt, Jóhann has been a pivotal part of numerous productions with the National Theatre of Iceland and Reykjavik City Theatre, along with making significant appearances in many Icelandic films. In addition to acting, he also studied singing in Italy from 2000-2001 and has performed with the Icelandic Opera at times. In recognition of his towering contribution to the field of arts, he was awarded 'Town Artist' by the town of Garðabær, Iceland in 2008. Not just this, his voice acting skills found a unique stage in video game roles like 'Banner Saga' (2014) & 'Banner Saga 2' (2016) where he voiced the character 'Ubin'. He also lent his voice to the soundtracks of these games. Jóhann's personal life has seen ups and downs. He lost his first wife Anna Jóna Jónsdóttir, mother of his son Haraldur Ingi Þorleifsson, to a tragic accident when a drunk driver crashed into their car. He later married Guðrún Sesselja Arnardóttir, a district attorney, and has two sons with her - Örn Gauti and Jóhann Ólafur.
