Jorma Taccone

**Jorma Christopher Taccone**, born March 19, 1977, is a versatile *American writer, producer, director, comedian, actor, and musician*. He stands as a member of the critically acclaimed comedy music group *The Lonely Island*, uniting with childhood friends Andy Samberg and Akiva Schaffer. His notable writing and directing debut was the SNL (Saturday Night Live) spinoff film *MacGruber* in 2010. Taccone, exhibiting multidisciplinary skills, contributed extensively to writing, co-directing and co-starring in the musical comedy *Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping*, also with Schaffer and Samberg. Born in Berkeley, California, he was nurtured by Suellen Ehnebuske and Tony Taccone, the prominent artistic director of the Berkeley Repertory Theatre. His education includes a bachelor's degree in Theater from *University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)* after which he made a significant impact in the entertainment industry. His career blasted off in 2005 when he and his friends joined the staff of NBC's late-night variety show *Saturday Night Live*. Taccone, as part of The Lonely Island, rendered over 100 SNL Digital Shorts, starring gems like *'Lazy Sunday', 'Jizz in My Pants', 'I'm on a Boat'* and the *Emmy-winning 'Dick in a Box'*. Apart from producing numerous music tracks for The Lonely Island, Taccone contributed to notable SNL shorts like *'MacGruber', 'Business Meeting', 'Sloths', 'Giraffes'*, etc. He highlights in many music videos and films, including starring as *Chaka* in the 2009 film *Land of the Lost*.
