Julie Delpy is a distinguished French and American actress, screenwriter, and film director, born on 21 December 1969 in Paris, France. She studied filmmaking at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and has contributed to more than thirty impressive films. Some of her notable works include 'Europa Europa (1990)', 'Three Colours: White (1993)', the 'Before trilogy (1995, 2004, 2013)', 'An American Werewolf in Paris (1997)', and '2 Days in Paris (2007)'.

She has garnered nominations for three César Awards, two Online Film Critics Society Awards, and two Academy Awards due to her exceptional performance and remarkable talent. Following her move to the United States in 1990, she acquired US citizenship in 2001. Her indulgence towards the arts ignited at an early age, encouraged by her parents. She transitioned to Hollywood and European films after gaining international celebrity status with the 1990 film Europa Europa. Delpy achieved broader recognition for her role in Richard Linklater's Before Sunrise (1995). She also co-wrote the script for its sequels, 'Before Sunset (2004)' and 'Before Midnight (2013)', earning her first Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
