Kaitlyn Bernard (born November 30, 2000) is a Canadian actress primarily known for her standout roles in films like 1922 (2017), Spontaneous (2020), and The Professor (2018). Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, she launched her acting career at the young age of 12, appearing in episodic roles in well-known television shows such as Haven, R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour, When Calls the Heart, Mr. D and Everyone's Famous. Bernard's career quickly advanced, and she landed a starring role in the 2013 miniseries Let's Make It! So Good!. Her television contributions also include significant parts in the 2014 films June in January and Mom's Day Away. In the following years, she featured in notable pieces such as the comedy film No Men Beyond This Point (2015), the comedy-drama The Healer (2016), and the film Cadence. Her remarkable performance in Cadence had her winning a Best Principal or Supporting Actress in a Feature Film Age 13 & Over at the 2017 The Joey Awards in Vancouver. Later, she played Shannon Cotterie in the 2017 horror film 1922, a movie based on Stephen King's 2010 novella. In 2018, she appeared in the television film A Father's Nightmare and the comedy-drama The Professor. Fast-forward to 2020, Bernard shone in the lead role of the thriller The Sinners and also in the coming-of age comedy film Spontaneous. Recently, she starred in the first season of the comedy series The Lake (2022) as Keri Moore.
