**Kathryn Marie Hahn** is a prominent American actress. Born on July 23, 1973, she started her career on television as a grief counselor in the NBC crime drama series Crossing Jordan. She has subsequently gained recognition as a supporting actress in a number of comedy films including 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days', 'Anchorman', 'Step Brothers', 'Our Idiot Brother', 'We're the Millers' and 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty'. Her contributions extended to leading roles in films such as 'Afternoon Delight', 'Bad Moms' and its sequel, and 'Private Life'. She also voiced Ericka Van Helsing in two films of the Hotel Transylvania franchise and Doctor Octopus in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Hahn's career in television is notable as well, with starring roles in the HBO miniseries 'Mrs. Fletcher', 'I Know This Much Is True', and the Disney+ miniseries 'WandaVision'. For her exceptional performances, she received several nominations for a Primetime Emmy Award. Hahn was born in Westchester, Illinois. She pursued drama, earning a BA in theater from Northwestern University and an MFA from Yale University. Her television debut appeared in a local puppet show for children called Hickory Hideout. Her talent quickly caught the attention of creator-producer Tim Kring, leading to her role in Crossing Jordan. Hahn has worked in numerous outstanding films and series, from her Broadway theater debut in 'Boeing-Boeing' to her roles in popular series like 'Transparent' and 'Parks and Recreation'. Her impressive body of work and unfaltering dedication led Northwestern University to bestow upon her an honorary Doctor of Arts degree in 2024.
