Born on June 28, 1992, Konomi Kohara developed a strong interest in anime during her junior high school years. Pursuing this passion, she attended the Human Academy after graduating high school with a dream of becoming a voice actress. From 2012 to 2014, Kohara worked diligently as an actress before joining Office Osawa, where she eventually made her debut as a voicing actor. Her big break came in 2017 when she was cast in the role of Akane Mizuno in Tsuki ga Kirei. Konomi's remarkable performance as Chika Fujiwara in 2019's Kaguya-sama: Love Is War gained her international acclaim, in particular, the dance song Chikatto Chika Chika​♡, she performed in episode 3 became hugely popular, accumulating over 20 million views on YouTube within 18 months. She also won the Best Comfort Radio award at the 6th AniRadi Awards in 2020 for her web radio program titled Kohara Konomi no Kokoro Okinaku. She is an avowed fan of the retail chain MUJI, where she has previously worked as an employee and has two pastel calico cats, Mil and Mash. Over the years, Kohara has amassed a diverse portfolio of roles across numerous anime series, movies, and games, establishing herself as a formidable name in the animation industry. This includes prominent titles such as The Demon Girl Next Door, Asobi Asobase, and Mushoku Tensei. Born and bred in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, she remains an active figure in the industry, continuing to mesmerize her audiences with her performances.
