She is credited with appearances in approximately 200 films demonstrating her prowess in the craft and leaving an indelible mark in the Japanese cinematic universe. Miyake was originally born as Yasu Miura in Iwatsuki City, Saitama Prefecture. Upon graduating from Saitama Prefectural Kuki High School, she joined the Shochiku film studios in 1934 and made her film debut in 'Yume no sasayaki'.
