Luisa Ranieri (born 16 December 1973) is a celebrated Italian actress, who has graced both the small and big screens with her remarkable acting skills. She was seen in a number of miniseries on RAI and she has made her mark in numerous films, some of the most well-known being 2004's Eros and 2021's The Hand of God. However, she is best recognized for her role in the TV movie Callas e Onassis. Her mesmerizing portrayal of opera diva Maria Callas in this 2005 television film, which began her acting career, was much-lauded. As an actress, she has tapped into various areas of storytelling with her roles, playing both fictional and nonfictional characters. Ranieri continues to offer critically acclaimed performances and maintains her standing as a reputed figure in Italian Cinema. In 2010, she made a significant impact in the drama film Letters to Juliet, playing the role of one of Juliet's secretaries who develops a close friendship with Sophie, portrayed by Amanda Seyfried. In 2003, Ranieri essayed the role of Assunta Goretti, mother of Maria Goretti, in the real-life-based television movie, Maria Goretti. Further extending her portfolio, she also hosted the prestigious 71st Venice International Film Festival in Venice, Italy in 2014.
