Makenzie Leigh

**Makenzie Leigh** is a noted American actress, best known for her roles as the protagonist's romantic interest in Ang Lee's *Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk (2016)*. She was born on August 8, 1990, in Dallas, Texas. After graduating high school, Leigh moved to *New York* where she studied dance ballet and later enrolled at New York University to study writing. She took an acting class to better understand characters, a move that ultimately led her to become a renowned actress in the American film industry. Her earliest significant role was as Liza in the first season of the Batman prequel television series *Gotham (2014–2015)*. Her performance earned her a significant following and paved the way for more prominent roles. A year later, she landed a regular role as a babysitter in the 2015 television miniseries *The Slap*, which was a remake of an Australian series bearing the same name. Leigh continued to expand her acting portfolio by taking on a supporting role opposite to Christopher Abbott in *James White (2015)* and later played a small part in an Amazon series titled *Mozart in the Jungle*. Her role as the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Faison Zorn in *Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk (2016)* turned heads and further cemented her standing in Hollywood. Recently, on August 30, 2021, Leigh was announced to be appearing as Susan Norton in an adaptation of Stephen King's *'Salem's Lot* for Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema.
