Martha MacIsaac, born October 11, 1984, is a widely recognized Canadian actress who has a range of roles across several popular feature films including Superbad (2007), The Last House on the Left (2009), Dead Before Dawn (2012), and Battle of the Sexes (2017). She's also well-known for her work in television and as a voice actress. She embarked on her career path playing Emily Byrd Starr in the TV series Emily of New Moon, based on the books by Lucy Maud Montgomery. Her acting prowess was truly noticed during the 2006 play, The Wild Duck, for which she received a Dora Mavor Moore Award nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Female in a Principal Role - Play. Over the years, she has taken on numerous roles in television and films, further establishing her reputation in the industry. In 2012, she landed a significant role in the NBC comedy, 1600 Penn, as the president's eldest daughter, Becca. Martha's talent so impressively aligned with the character that she replaced the originally cast actress, Brittany Snow. MacIsaac has been heavily inspired by actress Julia Roberts, even stating an ambitious goal to potentially work alongside her. Away from the screen, the actress currently enjoys her life in Los Angeles.
