Ebubennem Megalyn Ann Echikunwoke, better known as Megalyn E.K., is a highly acclaimed American actress, counting numerous roles in television and film among her accomplishments. Born in Spokane, Washington on May 28, 1983, she was discovered while performing in a theatrical production in an arts academy. She began her professional acting career at the tender age of 15 when she featured in an episode of The Steve Harvey Show. Echikunwoke has portrayed a wide array of compelling characters, such as Nicole Palmer on Fox series 24 (2001-2002), Angie Barnett on That '70s Show (2004-2005) and a lead role in The 4400 (2006-2007). She also proved her mettle in movie roles, starring in Damsels in Distress (2011), A Good Day to Die Hard (2013), and playing Mari McCabe/Vixen in the Arrowverse in 2016.

Echikunwoke has seen a varied and rich career. Her performance in CHiPs (2017), An Actor Prepares (2018), and comedy Night School (2018) further demonstrated her range and talent in acting. She made her New York stage debut in 2018 in the off-Broadway production of Apologia. Exceptionally, her father, Mark Onigwe Versato Echikunwoke, was an Igbo Nigerian Immigrant to the United States, and a survivor of the Nigerian Civil War. Unfortunately, Megalyn was only four years old when she lost her father to liver cancer due to his war-related medical problems.
