Michael Cassidy is an accomplished American film and television actor. Born on March 20, 1983, Cassidy gained fame primarily for his roles as Zach Stevens on The O.C. and Tyler Mitchell on the TBS comedy Men at Work. His acting career took off in 2004 and he continues to make a mark on the industry. Cassidy's journey into the world of acting started with a Two-Year Conservatory program at The New Actors Workshop in New York City, which he completed in 2003. He made a significant breakthrough with a role in The O.C. in its second season. His character, Zach Stevens, enjoyed a volatile relationship with Summer Roberts, making Cassidy's portrayal quite remarkable. His talent further landed him a role in the movie Zoom.

In 2007, Cassidy delved into the world of supernatural as Cliff Wiatt in the CW television program, Hidden Palms. This was followed by his casting in Smallville, based on the DC Comics' superhero Superman, where he played the role of Grant Gabriel, Lois Lane’s love interest. However, his character was later revealed as Julian Luthor, the cloned and aged brother of Lex. Cassidy returned to the Superman franchise in the 2016 film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as Jimmy Olsen. Subsequently, Cassidy famously portrayed Jonathan Walsh on the comedy show People of Earth, a role he played until its cancellation in 2018. Cassidy's rich filmography also includes roles in Argo, The Guilt Trip and the NBC workplace comedy pilot, Not Safe for Work.
