Michael Carmen Pitt, born on April 10, 1981, is a renowned American actor, model, and musician. He appeared in multiple films like Hedwig and the Angry Inch (2001), Bully (2001), Murder by Numbers (2002), The Dreamers (2003), Last Days (2005), Silk (2007), Funny Games (2007), I Origins (2014), and Ghost in the Shell (2017). On TV, he portrayed Henry Parker in Dawson's Creek (1999–2000), Jimmy Darmody in HBO's series Boardwalk Empire (2010–2011), and Mason Verger in NBC's Hannibal's season 2 (2014).

Pitt, son of an auto mechanic and a waitress, was born in West Orange, New Jersey. He dropped out of high school and has a mixed Italian, Irish, and English descent. His acting career extends from the big screen to television and theatre. His unique film choices, described as very controversial and bold by Pitt himself, have earned much artistic acclaim. Pitt takes pride in turning towards roles that are not simply for commercial success but those that create art, challenge the audience, and contribute to a project that he is proud of.
