What's After the Movie

Mike Tyson

**Michael Gerard Tyson**, also known as _'Iron Mike'_, _'Kid Dynamite'_, and _'the Baddest Man on the Planet'_, competed as a professional boxer between 1985 and 2005 and became known as one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time. Tyson became the youngest heavyweight champion at age 20 and was the first heavyweight boxer to simultaneously hold the World Boxing Association (WBA), World Boxing Council (WBC), and International Boxing Federation (IBF) titles. Tyson won his first 19 professional fights by knockout, which served to fuel his terrifying reputation in the ring. His career was not without controversy, however, with a rape conviction leading to a prison sentence from 1992 to 1995. Tyson engaged in a series of comeback fights after his release, and despite personal challenges, he left a lasting impact on the sport. Despite being known for his ferocious style, Tyson also displayed notable defensive abilities and excellent speed, accuracy, and coordination. His image as a feared fighter was enhanced by his willingness to engage his opponents head-on, a strategy he attributed to his inspiration from boxing legend Sonny Liston. Tyson was ranked 16th on *The Ring* magazine's list of 100 greatest punchers of all time, and first on ESPN's list of 'The Hardest Hitters in Heavyweight History'. Apart from his boxing career, Tyson featured in movies, television shows, and even video games, adding to his widespread fame.
