Patrick Dempsey

Patrick Galen Dempsey (born January 13, 1966), is an American actor and racing driver who reached international fame due to his unforgettable role as Dr. Derek 'McDreamy' Shepherd in ABC's medical drama series Grey's Anatomy. Dempsey's career started in films such as Can't Buy Me Love (1987) and Loverboy (1989), later on exploring romantic comedy films like Sweet Home Alabama (2002) and Bridget Jones's Baby (2016). His passion for acting is only surpassed by his love for racing. Dempsey maintains a sports car and vintage car collection, and often participates in prestigious events like the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and the Rolex 24 Daytona sports car races. Not only an accomplished actor and race car driver, but Dempsey also found success in occupations as a producer.
