Patrick Dempsey

**Patrick Galen Dempsey** (born January 13, 1966), is an American actor and racing driver who reached international fame due to his unforgettable role as Dr. Derek 'McDreamy' Shepherd in ABC's medical drama series *Grey's Anatomy*. Dempsey's career started in films such as *Can't Buy Me Love* (1987) and *Loverboy* (1989), later on exploring romantic comedy films like *Sweet Home Alabama* (2002) and *Bridget Jones's Baby* (2016).
